Snug Recording Studio

Snug Studio was first opened in 2006, and is managed by Robin Newman and Richard Collins. The studio is fully equipped with acoustic treatment and a vast range of microphones, outboard processors, and the latest software. Newman and Collins have had the electrics completely refitted and an isolation booth built in to add to the quality of the recordings in the studio. This recording and rehearsal space has served international, national, and local acts alike, and also offers mixing and mastering services to clients.

Backstage Recording Studios

Backstage Recording Studio was first established in 1994 by Andy Sneap (ex-Sabbat guitarist), to be used by himself and local bands as a small demo facility. It has since expanded greatly and was relocated to a fifteen acre farm in 2001 to serve the needs of such profound artists as Megadeth, Machine Head and Opeth. Specialising in the recording of metal music, Andy is in collaboration with such labels as Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Roadrunner, Metal Blade, Ferret and Sony, to name just a few. The site consists of two studios fully equipped with Pro Tools HD.

Red Diesel Recording Studios

Red Diesel Studios is a highly qualified and professional recording and sound production service, providing top quality audio for musicians in the East Midlands. This company specialises in Jazz, Classical, and Folk music for any type of artist- be they solo, a group, or dance artists. Red Diesel also cater for smaller projects, with the use of the production room fully equipped with German Mics 24/96khz Voicemaster System and all of the most up-to-date software. With engineers on-site also, clients have access to a wealth of advice and expertise right at their fingertips, should they need it. In addition to this, a post production house located right next to the studio allows clients to maximise the success of their recording experience.

Baby People

Baby People studios first opened its' doors to clients back in 2005, and has since gained a strong standing as Derby’s leading Black music studio. Such artists to have utilised their services include Roll Deep’s J2K, Malik and Wariko. Furthermore, such music to have been produced in this studio has received support from the likes of BBC radio 1, 1xtra, and MTV. The studio opens its' doors to young people across Derby each night, offering free open days also, in which musicians can produce mix tape albums aimed at reducing gang crime in the city. The business is run by experienced managing director Baby J, who has sixteen years of experience working internationally. He has undertaken production work for such renowned artists as Plan B, Jamelia, Wretch 32, Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, and Estelle.

My piano lessons are driven by your personal taste in music - whatever you’re passionate about - be it Mumford & Sons or Mozart - I provide bespoke lessons to suit your requirements.  I have many years experience as a piano teacher - tutoring students from the age of 4 upwards, including many adults of all standards.

I also have taken many of my students through the ABRSM grades - though this is certainly not compulsory.
